Combining power, singular elegance, and cutting-edge technology, Porsche has dazzled us for decades with its iconic supercars. Among its models is the Porsche 918 Spyder. A true technological marvel, it ranks among the top three in the world of sports cars, alongside Ferrari and the McLaren P1. This exceptional vehicle was even voted "World's Best Car" at the 2013 Joiris Car Awards. Let's take a closer look at the Porsche 918 Spyder, exploring its technical specifications and performance.

The Porsche 918 Spyder: an exceptional hypercar
The Porsche 918 Spyder embodies the culmination of decades of expertise and innovation at Porsche . Initially presented as a concept car at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, it immediately captivated car enthusiasts. After a three-year wait, in 2013, Porsche unveiled the 918 Spyder at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It follows in the footsteps of iconic Porsche supercars, such as the legendary 959 and the remarkable Carrera GT. Like its predecessors, the 918 Spyder was born from Porsche's passion and commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive performance. While other manufacturers focused primarily on raw power, Porsche adopted a more holistic approach by integrating a sophisticated hybrid drive system. As you can see, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a marvel of automotive engineering, deserving of a custom-designed Innova-Box garage setup.
A vehicle capable of reaching 350 km/h
Its main engine is a V8, closely derived from the one used in the Porsche RS Spyder that won championships in the 2006 and 2008 American Le Mans Series. This gasoline engine develops an impressive 608 horsepower, which can be revved to 9,150 rpm. In addition to the internal combustion engine, the 918 Spyder is equipped with two electric motors producing 286 hp. For operation, the rear axle of the 918 Spyder can be driven either by the combustion engine, by its electric motors, or by a combination of both, thus offering unique drivetrain flexibility.
Now that we have seen its technical specifications, let's take a closer look at its performance:
A top speed of 345 km/h and 150 km/h in 100% electric mode;
100 km/h in 2.8 seconds (compared to 3.9 for the Carrera GT);
200 km/h in 7.7 seconds;
300 km/h in 22 seconds.

A distinctive design blending elegance and aggression
Designed by Michael Mauer's team, the 918 Spyder's silhouette evokes legendary Porsche racing cars such as the 917 and RS Spyder. At the front, two large air intakes give it a distinctly sporty look. Its hood, though seemingly slim, wraps around the vehicle's fenders and extends to the wheel arches. The headlights, inspired by the legendary Carrera GT, further emphasize this athletic character. At the rear, its design is distinguished by a pronounced double hump that flows from the top of the seats to the rear of the body. But one of the 918's most striking features is the subtle interplay of convex and concave curves, along with its sharp edges. These distinctive lines underscore its aggressive appearance.
A jewel that deserves a custom-made setting
Like a ball gown that deserves a dressing room worthy of the occasion, the Porsche 918 Spyder demands a meticulously designed garage, capable of showcasing its incomparable elegance! Far more than just a sports car, it embodies excellence and prestige. As such, it cannot be stored in just any garage. It deserves an environment to match, a place that truly highlights its beauty! “Innova-Box allows us to offer this type of vehicle a unique space, reflecting its status and providing protection befitting its excellence ,” explains Gérald Mouret, founder of the concept. “ Through lighting, wall and floor coverings, and a bespoke ambiance, our team of luxury garage design specialists transforms a generic, soulless garage into a truly unique space. Feel free to explore our previous projects to get a glimpse of our expertise.”
A unique experience with 5 driving modes
The Porsche 918 Spyder offers exceptional driving versatility thanks to its five operating modes.
E Power mode: 100% electric driving
In this mode, the 918 Spyder runs exclusively on its electric motor, offering a silent and emission-free driving experience. Performance-wise, it can reach 100 km/h in 7 seconds and has a top speed of 150 km/h.

Hybrid mode: intelligent mobilization of all engines
This mode allows for a smooth switch between the internal combustion engine and the electric motors in order to reduce the vehicle's fuel consumption while maintaining its performance.
Hybrid Sport mode: for a sportier driving experience
Here, electric motors come to the aid of the internal combustion engine to provide a good boost of acceleration depending on the driving style.
Race Hybrid mode: for an even sportier driving experience
In this mode, all the car's systems are optimized for maximum track performance. The PDK dual-clutch transmission, the only one available on the 918 Spyder, switches to Sport mode, ensuring rapid and precise gear changes. Furthermore, the electric motors recharge more quickly, providing instant boost effects.
The Hot Lap button: for maximum performance
In Race Hybrid mode, you have the option to press the Hot Lap button. Pressing this button unleashes the full potential of the 918 Spyder, pushing the engines to their maximum capacity.
Cutting-edge technology, remarkable design, performance, durability… The Porsche 918 Spyder embodies the perfect marriage of power and sophistication. A symbol of exclusivity that testifies to Porsche's ongoing commitment to prestige and innovation! Why not continue to strive for excellence by giving it an exceptional garage?
