Lamborghini Huracan STO: the track-legal version

Even though the Lamborghini STO draws inspiration from the technologies of the Huracan Super Trofeo Evo and the Huracan GT3 Evo, it is first and foremost an enhanced version, designed to be equally at home on the road and the track. Assembled at the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory, this supercar features three driving modes: STO mode for open roads, Trofeo mode for racetracks, and Pioggia mode for wet and slippery surfaces. Attention racing enthusiasts, motorsport fans, and thrill-seekers: the Lamborghini STO is ready to take on any challenge, and its design proves it!

Boasting a spectacular body (over 75% carbon fiber), this supercar is remarkably lightweight. It features a completely redesigned profile by the Italian manufacturer, optimizing its aerodynamics and aggressive look. Its striking aerodynamic enhancements aren't just for show; they allow this supercar to generate 53% more downforce compared to the previous Huracan model. Maurizio Reggiani was responsible for the extensive aerodynamic overhaul of this model. To achieve this, he introduced two innovative technical solutions: a gaping air intake on the roof to cool the engine, coupled with a new vertical wing that stabilizes the rear end on winding roads. The result is an immediate sensation of racing and exhilaration.

Maximum power and lightness

Equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 gasoline engine, the Lamborghini STO isn't more powerful than the standard Huracan Evo. However, its engine benefits from a different mapping. It delivers a maximum power output of 640 horsepower and propels the Italian supercar from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds (0 to 200 km/h in 9 seconds). To maneuver it, the Italian manufacturers opted for a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. While the powerful McLaren 720S and Ferrari F8 Tributo certainly outperform it, the Lamborghini STO is nonetheless capable of delivering the ultimate driving experience and the extreme sensations felt by racing drivers.

Finally, while the Huracan STO may not be the most powerful, it is nonetheless the lightest of all Lamborghini models. With its carbon fiber front hood, titanium rear arch, and CFRP materials, this design allowed the Italian manufacturer to shave 50 kg off the weight compared to the Huracan Evo RWD. A seemingly enormous saving, but one that makes a real difference on the road. Indeed, the STO tackles the track with much more determination, thanks also to its upgraded brakes and stiffer suspension joints.
