August 17, 2022: After months of waiting, Porsche unveils its new supercar. The Porsche 911 type 992 GT3 RS is revealed, and with it, the German manufacturer's continued desire to push the boundaries of what's possible with ever more spectacular performance. A closer look at the latest GT3: a supercar to be preserved in a custom-built garage .

Aerodynamics that will blow you away
To design this new Porsche model, the designers focused primarily on the car's lines and aerodynamics. And nothing was left to chance. There was no room for compromise. Extractors on the front hood, air intakes in the fenders, fins at each end of the roof, sculpted fenders… All the ingredients are there to make this model an easy-to-drive car, one with which amateur drivers should be able to progress quickly, thanks to its remarkable handling. Indeed, the three radiators of the 991 have been replaced by a single, much lighter and more efficient cooling unit. The fins located at the top of the extractors also help direct airflow towards the sides, while the fender design helps limit air turbulence. Add to that the rear wing, and you get a car with exceptional stability and unprecedented—and active—aerodynamics. Indeed, the wing of the Porsche 911 type 992 GT3 RS is adjustable and can go from a fully open position to a closed position in 0.3 seconds.

A naturally aspirated engine is still used in the Porsche 911 type 922 GT3 RS
With this new model, Porsche has remained faithful to the naturally aspirated engine. As a result, the performance of the GT3's 4.0L engine sees little change in this new GT3 RS. Porsche opted for new camshafts. The throttle body system and rigid valve train are derived from motorsport. A 7-speed automated manual transmission equips this supercar, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.6 seconds.
But with regulations constantly evolving, we have a right to wonder how long Porsche will be able to produce naturally aspirated GT3 RS models. Indeed, the manufacturer had already announced the end of this type of engine for the Carrera range, which now features turbochargers. The reason? Research and development costs were too high to comply with WLTP standards. So, what will become of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS? We don't know. One thing is certain: the manufacturer still manages to offer us visual and auditory pleasure, so let's enjoy it while it lasts!

A continuous search for lightness
With this new model, Porsche has also waged war on excess weight. Thanks to specific body elements made of carbon fiber, the vehicle has been lightened by several kilograms. The Porsche 911 type 992 GT3 RS weighs only 1,450 kg.
Carbon fiber was also used in the interior, which is trimmed in microfiber and black leather. Furthermore, if desired, these lightweight components can be complemented by CFRP anti-roll bars and a roll cage, as well as lighter magnesium wheels. All these options, of course, come at a price.
All the hallmarks of Porsche are gathered inside.
Stitched leather on the dashboard, carbon fiber trim strips, a unique PDK gear selector, perforated Alcantara on the center console… The Porsche 911 type 992 GT3 RS is a showcase of premium finishes, delivering unparalleled driving pleasure. And to delight performance enthusiasts, Porsche has retained the analog tachometer, as seen on other 992 models. However, the GT3 boasts special features such as customizable track data displays, electrically adjustable sport seats, a connected navigation system, and much more. The manufacturer has even made it possible to personalize the new GT3 through its Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur department!
How can such a car be showcased?
Without a doubt, the Porsche 911 type 992 GT3 RS is an exceptional car. But if you have the opportunity to acquire such a vehicle in the near future, you will certainly want to showcase it when it's parked at your home.
“As all lovers of exceptional cars know, these vehicles spend most of their time parked in a garage, rather than on the road. Therefore, parking them in a soulless space means depriving yourself of admiring their perfect lines. Fortunately, there are garage design solutions that will radically transform this usually soulless space,” explains Gérald Mouret, the founder of Innova-Box.

Indeed, more and more enthusiasts are turning to these new-generation garages. Originating in the USA, this concept adapts very easily to European homes. The idea is to design a true showroom, centered around the brand. “Personalization around the Porsche brand can be very sophisticated: the addition of illuminated logos and custom-made furniture will allow the fortunate owners of a GT3 RS to create a unique experience.”
Aerodynamics, performance, lightness: the Porsche 911 type 992 GT3 RS is also available with a wealth of customization options, for a unique vehicle that reflects your personality. To take your vision to the next level, display your signature right in your garage with Innova-Box .
